The Fairfax EggBank, a division of the Genetics & IVF Institute, is seeking a full-time, Client Relations Specialist to help bring hope to intended parents struggling with infertility and assist them with building and growing their families. Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to potential recipients and affiliated and non-affiliated clinic partners interested in Fairfax EggBank offerings via timely phone (oral) and email (written) communication.
  • Account Management: Manage a portfolio of affiliated clinics with focused attention on increasing sales volume, resolving issues, building and maintain relationships. Develop trust with affiliated clinics within portfolio to ensure Fairfax EggBank is the egg bank of choice. Acquire a thorough understanding of affiliated clinic needs and processes.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain accurate and detailed records for intended recipients and clinic portfolio to ensure flawless execution of sales process. Assist in data analysis to ensure high quality control standards and comply with strict regulatory guidelines.

Sales Achievement:

Meet and exceeded monthly sales goals.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred or minimum of 2 years of related work experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced healthcare/medical setting is a plus
  • Proven Business-to-Business, non-retail sales or account management experience is preferred
  • Fluency speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish is a huge plus!
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

For over 30 years, Fairfax Cryobank, a division of the Genetics & IVF Institute, has provided the highest quality donor sperm that has led to the creation of many happy healthy families. Fairfax Cryobank serves clients nationwide and around the globe. We are seeking a full-time laboratory technician to work Monday through Friday and some Saturdays at our Philadelphia, PA location.

Responsibilities include: performing semen cryobanking for use in infertility procedures, shipping samples to clinics, and interacting with donors. Candidate will also perform some administrative duties. This is an FDA-regulated commercial sperm bank where attention to detail is critical. A sense of humor, computer skills, strong work ethic, excellent command of written and spoken English, ability to follow written instructions, and a willingness to learn are mandatory. Training will be provided. This is a great foundation for a career in reproductive health/infertility.

Salary is commensurate with experience. Technicians will receive a bonus when they complete their training interview and a retention bonus on their first and second anniversary dates, after which they will be eligible for quarterly performance bonuses. GIVF is seeking a full-time Fertility Nurse (RN) Care Coordinator to join our team at our headquarters in Fairfax, VA.

The Fertility Nurse (RN) Care Coordinator is responsible for providing individualized nursing care to GIVF’s fertility patients by working closely with the physicians to coordinate patient care while consulting with patients regarding treatment protocols, medications, and other testing and treatment procedures. The Fertility Nurse (RN) Care Coordinator is comfortable working independently but can also collaborate in a team environment. Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a growing practice where your passion and talent contribute to helping our patients build their family, one step at a time. This position reports directly to the GIVF Director of Nursing.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with physician in developing and implementing a treatment plan appropriate to individual patient. Coordinate needed diagnostic imaging and lab tests and treatment plans with patient at direction of physician.
  • Coordinate care for patients undergoing all types of fertility treatment following established clinical protocols and at the direction of the physician
  • Be the main point of contact with patients and their partner after the initial consultation. Establish positive rapport based on trust and mutual respect
  • Deliver timely, compassionate, and clear communications to patients to provide instructions and deliver results.
  • Communicate with patient in person, over email/secure messenger, or on the telephone regarding patient medication, treatment plans, and test results. Answer patient questions regarding patient cycles and calendars.
  • Provide patient education for patients undergoing treatment and surgical procedures (e.g., how to administer injections)
  • Work with the Scheduling Team to schedule treatments after initial and follow up visits
  • Establish a compassionate environment by providing support to patients and patients’ families throughout their fertility treatments
  • Document into EMR all patient plans and interactions with patient and physician.
  • Place patient orders into EMR.
  • Coordinate patients’ lab tests and results: enter lab orders, review reports, ensure labs are placed in the patient’s chart, follow up for missing labs, contact patient for follow-up as needed
  • Responsible to assure all consents are signed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor established pregnancies and documents updates in the patient’s EMR.
  • Assess and manage pre- and post-procedural care for patients: Rotate as procedural/recovery nurse, assist in exam room as needed, maintain surgical stats, maintain procedural and emergency medications
  • Prep and maintain ultrasound charts/charts for active patients
  • Perform routine phlebotomy & administer medications as instructed
  • Obtain authorizations/order medications through specialty and local pharmacies
  • Willingness to learn and perform intrauterine insemination techniques
  • Assist with quality improvement projects.
  • Required to work rotating weekends and holidays
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Associate Degree, Diploma, and/or Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing, required
  • Current Virginia Registered Nurse license without limitations, required
  • 2+ years of previous nursing experience, required
  • Previous experience in women’s health, fertility, OB/GYN, strongly preferred, training will be provided
  • Current BLS certification, required. ACLS certification, preferred
  • 1 year PACU/L&D/ED or other procedural specialty experience preferred
  • Change IV insertion skills from preferred to required
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be well-organized with excellent interpersonal skills and possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess a demonstrated ability to handle a large volume of patient caseload
  • Must possess a high level of independent judgment and accuracy.
  • Must communicate positively and professionally with all internal and external customers, physicians, and team members. Display a positive attitude and flexibility in changing situations

  • Maintains HIPAA and Confidentiality for all patient and clinic information.

Hours:

  • Monday-Friday 6:45am-3:30pm or 8am-4pm; plus, rotating weekends and holidays

We have an immediate opening for an Assistant General Counsel in our Fairfax, Virginia office.

The Assistant General Counsel will work with all businesses in the GIVF family, including GIVF Fertility, our clinical assisted reproductive treatment and genetics practice; Fairfax Cryobank and Fairfax EggBank, our reproductive tissue banks; and Fairfax Surrogacy, our surrogacy program.  This is an ideal opportunity for a lawyer with an interest in health regulatory law and compliance to build expertise in assisted reproduction law and FDA tissue regulation while gaining meaningful exposure to all issues handled by an in-house legal department.

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with the General Counsel to address legal and compliance issues that arise company-wide, including those related to corporate law and governance; FDA, HIPAA, and other health care regulatory compliance; claims and risk management; HR/labor and employment; clinical operations; intellectual property; mergers and acquisitions, among others
  • Work directly with business leaders to review proposed business arrangements for potential legal issues and provide appropriate counsel
  • Draft and review routine contracts and amendments, including non-disclosure, employment, services, affiliation, and purchasing agreements
  • Prepare affidavits and legal filings
  • Review and revise consent forms and patient/client contracts to ensure legal compliance and incorporate best clinical and business practices
  • Draft contracts related to sperm, egg, and embryo donation and gestational surrogacy
  • Track developments in FDA and state tissue bank regulation as well as federal and international health law and compliance issues and recommend appropriate operational changes
  • Perform legal and regulatory research
  • Oversee company compliance plans and work with business leaders to implement and evaluate specific plan elements
  • Assist with internal compliance audits
  • Provide support to clinicians and Privacy Officer on HIPAA-related issues
  • Review and revise company privacy policies to reflect changes in international and state privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of significant law firm or in-house legal and regulatory practice (strong preference for law firm experience)
  • Juris Doctor degree from accredited law school, membership in good standing with at least one state bar, and eligibility for admission to Virginia bar as Corporate Counsel
  • Excellent written and oral communication and analytical, research, and negotiation skills
  • Capability to think critically, work independently, and take initiative on completing tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong client relations skills
  • Exposure to or an interest in assisted reproduction/fertility law is ideal
  • Prior experience with FDA tissue regulation is a plus but not required

The Genetics & IVF Institute (GIVF) was the first outpatient infertility clinic in the US. Today, GIVF provides a full range of reproductive treatment options with multiple locations across the US and substantial international operations.

The Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) division runs one of the leading donor egg programs in the country and was one of the first clinics in the US to offer elective oocyte freezing and an egg bank (Fairfax Egg Bank). GIVF also owns one of the largest sperm banks in the US (Fairfax Cryobank) and operates a reproductive genetics division as well as its own internal genetics labs.

GIVF is seeking a full-time Laboratory Logistics Specialist for our Fairfax EggBank division at our headquarters in Fairfax, VA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating frozen egg shipments to affiliated laboratories
  • Verifying for accuracy the requisite shipping paperwork
  • Managing and being primarily responsible for both outbound and inbound shipments
  • Daily preparing and packing 35 lb. shipping containers for shipment and receiving
  • Inventory inbound shipments
  • Primarily responsible for QA/QC measures of shipping containers
  • Daily maintenance of shipping containers
  • Maintaining accurate record keeping and filing
  • Manage shipping supply inventory
  • Other administrative duties as needed
